Mick Prodger is the author of Vintage Flying Helmets and the two volume set Luftwaffe vs. RAF as well as numerous magazine articles and contributions to the work of other authors. Recognized internationally as one of the most knowledgeable and hands-on collectors of aviation memorabilia, he has gathered and compiled the information for the 2015 Military Aviation Review from  leading and well-respected trade professionals including David Farnsworth (Historic Flying Clothing Company), Simon Lannoy (The Militaria Dealers) and Geoff Pringle (Oldnautibits) and from private collectors.

 

Growing up in Sussex, on the south coast of England, under the skies where the Battle of Britain was fought, Mick Prodger currently lives in San Antonio, Texas.  A respected collector for more than 25 years, he has personally handled literally thousands of aviation related collectibles. He  maintains what he describes as a "small and manageable collection" of high quality aviation memorabilia, carefully documenting every item that passes through his hands.
